Small Garden Studio Secret Retreat
“Matthew was working in a narrow space in the basement,” says architect Bülent Baydar. Matthew needed a quiet place to work and rest, away from the hustle and bustle of the family. Carnahan commissioned an architect to create an independent and comfortable workspace in the backyard of the house.
Architect Bulent Baydar of Harrison Design has a great design for the 40 square foot work studio he designed for Virginia-based screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan. The tiny office has NanaWall doors that open by folding and connect the interior living area to the natural environment.
The Small Garden Studio was strategically placed in the farthest corner of the main building and neighborhood for comfortable working. The 40 square meter office has a glass facade framed by large cedar trees. Tiny Cabin has a wonderful plan that integrates with its surroundings with its wooden exterior design and glass walls.
His tiny office is equipped with floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves filled with Carnahan’s favorite books. This design adds a rustic feel to the workspace, creating a library-like atmosphere in the studio. The small cabin has an open floor plan and has a table and seating area.
The small garden studio has a wonderful eco-friendly design with a usable area of 40m2. Tiny cabin is a great choice for a peaceful workspace away from the complex city life and intertwined with nature.
